I used to think that buying land to use 20 years from now was a bit over the top.
Until the day when it rained for 3 days straight…
The tides rose…
And water began seeping up through the drains in my Bangkok home.
That day, I wasn’t shocked that water entered the house—
I was shocked that I had no other options.
📍 It’s not just about the flood.
We’re living in an era where “security” no longer lies solely in cash, condos, or gold.
Many people are starting to realize:
“We should have a plot of land outside the city—just one is enough.”
Not just cheap land
Not remote or inaccessible
But land that is ready to use if the day comes
Such as: to build a home, create a retreat, or pass down to your children
It’s not speculation—
It’s planning with purpose.
🧭 A few days ago, I found a land plot in Phetchabun
Right in the heart of the city—but 116 meters above sea level.
For reference, Victory Monument in Bangkok sits at just 2–4 meters.
The land is peaceful. Accessible.
Surrounded by restaurants, shops, and a growing local community.
It’s a place that’s not too rural—
But far enough from disaster zones.
I haven’t made my decision yet.
But I know one thing:
Those who think ahead… always hold the best land.
